Some love stories feel like they belong to another era, beautifully unhurried, a little nostalgic, and entirely their own.

For Nita & Navi, their engagement session at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Chandigarh was a love letter to vintage romance, reimagined through an editorial lens. With the quiet grandeur of Sukhvilas as their backdrop, their photographs carry that rare feeling of looking back and forward at the same time, like discovering a forgotten flower pressed between the pages of your favourite book.

Based in the United States, Nita & Navi returned to India with their roots firmly connected to Punjab, spending time here ahead of their wedding celebrations and wedding shopping. Rather than a traditional pre-wedding shoot, they wanted something more intimate, effortless and fashion-forward, a portrait of the two of them that felt timeless, personal and distinctly Indian.

Styled by Bridelan, the session brought together considered fashion, old-world romance and the natural elegance of the couple. From quiet, cinematic portraits to moments of movement and intimacy, every frame was created to feel less like a posed photograph and more like a page from their story.

There is something especially beautiful about photographing couples who live across the world but return to India to celebrate where their story and their families' stories

For couples planning an India destination wedding from overseas, their session is a reminder that the most memorable photographs don't always need grand gestures. Sometimes, all they need is good light, beautiful surroundings, thoughtful styling and two people completely at ease with one another.
